The Three-headed Beast. Its true name is Muneyasu.

The Chimera is one of the two distinctly female Beasts, bearing the heads of a lioness and a horned goat, with her tail ending in the long, winding form of a spectacled cobra. The front of her body is in the form of a powerful lion, shifting back into the hindquarters of a sinewy goat with strong, sharp hooves. The length of the spine is covered in snakeskin and a long flowing lions mane covers her shoulders, lower throat and down the chest and belly. She bears a pair of feathered wings, reminiscent of a swan's, with the ability of powered flight. The creature’s collar-marks are visible on the lion and goat heads necks just above the mane and just below the cobra’s hood.

The Chimera Muneyasu is described as being insufferable at best and downright terrifying at worst. She is convinced of her own superiority above all creatures, including the other Beasts, claiming herself ‘The Perfect Creature’. The lioness head is held high with an air of haughty confidence, while the goat head is held low with a piercing glare, as if to dare anyone to contradict her. The cobra does little else save to stare fixedly while in a constant swaying motion. Brash and focused on her own resplendence; the only way to gain any of her power or attention is to appeal to her pride and vanity.

In the past, many hosts held contradictory claims of how the Chimera looked regarding the position of the two front heads. The truth was surprising, in that the Beast could rotate both heads around its shoulders and individually with apparent ease. Even the cobra head could twist itself over and over seamlessly without any difficulty. It was later claimed that when thoroughly enraged, the creature’s entire body would twist and contort between lion, goat and snake in a mad frenzy, which fortunately could buy the (idiot) host a little time to make a hasty retreat.

That said, should a host say the exact right things, at exactly the right time, exactly how the Chimera likes it, they will be granted a fraction of her grandest power… the fusion of both organic and/or inert matter, in however manner the host can think of.

Of course any such hybrid, regardless of imagination, will never please or impress Muneyasu. After all, how can anything possibly compare to such brilliance as herself?

Muneyasu can also breath fire from all three heads. All the more useful to get rid of anything unsightly, as far as she’s concerned, but it can make having to bear an audience with her all the more tricky.

Like the majority of her brethren, the Chimera is of a single mind, but she does have a unique verbal tick. The lioness and goat heads speak in perfect tandem, forceful and condescending, while the cobra head finishes her train of thought in a soft, sibilant whisper. Many past hosts were so unnerved by this that they would go out of their way to find different options to battle rather than resort to her ‘help’.

It was also pretty common for many hosts to be so incised by her attitude to attempt to confront her, often with dire consequences. Notably, should anyone be brave enough (or stupid enough) to question how she continues to be confined if she is so ‘perfect’, Muneyasu is sure to smile indulgently and give one answer; by being confined within a host, she will always have someone to tell her exactly what she wants to hear.

“I am not trapped here within you insect; you are trapped with me.”
